Elsewhere in his interview, Ydegari indicated that enemy has gone out of his way, using propaganda in order to present people of the Islamic Republic of Iran as extremists. “International Quranic contests organized by the country help neutralize such conspirators”, he highlighted.
The 3rd Muslim Students International Quran Contest is scheduled to take place in the holy city of Mashhad, Iran, January 19-22, 2011. The first competitions, in which contestants representing 28 countries participated, were held in Isfahan four years ago. The second one, receiving representatives of 40 states, was hosted by Iran’s capital of Tehran. The event, undertaken by the Islamic Republic of Iran, is set to be held every other year.
